Info-Scan 2000 uses the simplest
Man-Machine interface ever designed to facilitate ease of human
operation; a graphical, point-and-click, interactive scheme. The use of
the personal computer (PC) Operator Workstation has enabled us to
integrate the standard Microsoft Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI)
into the heart of the Info-Scan 2000 System. Standard pull down menus,
dialog boxes and other Windows features combine to give the operator a
consistent look and feel throughout the product.
Info-Scan 2000 allows the operator to
generate his own navigational screens and links around and throughout
the system. The ability to place "dynamic poke points" or dynamics on
any display screen provides a quick and easy method to customize the
way you use the system. And every operator can do their own if desired.
A tabular or drill-down approach may be chosen or a combination of the
two may be used to reach information as needed. Every dynamic may be
linked to a point, a program or another display.
For the graphical display generation,
Info-Scan provides maximum flexibility. Info-Scan has been designed to
accept any background graphic as long as it conforms to either Windows
*.BMP or *.WMF formats. This enables the operator to use graphical data
from any number of existing sources or design and draw their own with a
package that's familiar to them. Examples include CAD drawings from
engineering sources, photographs, sketches or even video sources. Once
the data is in the selected format and on the PC workstation, it
becomes a simple matter of loading it into the display background.
